DTRules Community

It is small, and maybe one might say, very small. But we are growing! Connect with the community at the Forum we have set up using Google Groups!

Spam

Spam is a real problem. This is why you must have an account to edit this Wiki. If we allow anonymous editing, then spammers dive in, delete content, and basically make a mess of things.

Please report spam if you see it on our site. Email paulsn@dtrules.com

Opportunities to Contribute

There are many things that need to be done on a project of this size, and at this point there are not all that many people to do them!

As we go along, this page will advertise what sorts of people we are looking for to contribute to the project. We will also use this page to expound upon our vision of where DTRules might go in the future.

Programmer Jobs

One huge advantage of DTRules over other Approaches to Rules Engines is its simplicity and flexibility. We would like find some people who would be willing to extend the Rules Engine into some different areas. Here are some ideas:

  • Different Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) -- We have a cup/JFlex DSL that is mostly built around the needs of Eligibility for Human Services. Flushing out a DSL for accounting (perhaps for tax law) or a DSL for Insurance claims would be interesting.
  • Different DSL Implementations -- We would like to do an [Antlr 3.0] implementation of a DSL. We have played around with them in the past, but have not done more than that. To be fair, most of our Antlr efforts were on Antlr 2.0, and that platform didn't have the flexibility we wanted.

Web Jobs

Boy do we need Web Help. It would be great to have a Web Master, or writers to provide documentation for existing DTRules tools and features, as well as writing articles about new DTRules applications. In short:

  • Web Master ... You saw that first page, right?
  • Build Master
  • Writers
  • Artists .... Yeah, we know the logo needs work....
