DTRules is factored to allow all sorts of modifications and customizations of the Rules Engine to fit the needs of a huge range of applications. We are continuing to make DTRules even more flexible in this regard. Of course, this also requires even more documentation. We are adding documentation as fast as we can.
Note that users of DTRules have permission to copy and distribute all DTRules.com copyrighted documentation. Some older documentation states you cannot copy or distribute those documents without permission. Well, you have that needed permission.
[Backus Normal Form] is a way to express a grammar, and Cup can be made to produce a BNF file in the course of building the reference compiler provided with DTRules. This file is provided here BNF.txt. The BNF documentation only describes the grammar of a language, and that in only a very technical fashion. We have a language document for EL (Eligibility Language -- the reference language for DTRules) in development.
